With his sharp, witty style, Mahood was a prolific and widely-admired cartoonist whose work, over a six-decade career, appeared in Punch, The Times, Financial Times, Evening Standard and Daily Mail, among others.

He was also an inventive and versatile book illustrator and artist, exhibiting his paintings and collages in UK and abroad.
